The Throat Cancer Foundation is a registered charity, and as such, your help is vital to us. Your support and generosity will enable us to reach out to all those touched by throat cancers and enable us to be a Voice for Hope. Head over to our Just Giving page and with just a few clicks , you can become an official TCF fundraiser.
People raise money for us for all sorts of reasons: because they have faced up to cancer themselves, or a loved one has had cancer, or sometimes to honour the memory of someone who has passed away. No matter what your reasons, you can make a huge difference and help people (while having fun).
Here are some of the ways you can help us:
• A sponsored ANYTHING. Anything that you can think of , you can make into a fundraising event. People can climb mountains, swim lakes, run marathons, have a dance-a-thon, or a ping pong-a-thon, or an anything-a-thon, play golf, play polo, play piano, try a sponsored silence, or a sponsored sing a long.No matter what it is, you can make it a fundraising event for TCF and help us to help people.
The easiest way to create a sponsored event for TCF is to head to our Just Giving Page. With just a few clicks you can create your own page and share why you want to support TCF and what you are doing. Simple to use, easy to donate and share online via facebook, twitter and email. If you need any help just let us know here. You can also download our sponsorship form in the link below:
• Organise an event with your friends or colleagues. This could be a coffee morning in your garden, a masquerade ball in your local town hall, wear a bow tie to work day, an office picnic, again anything you can think of you can make into a fundraising extravaganza. Throat cancer is a horrible disease but that does not mean raising money to fight it cannot be fun.
• Take part in a challenge event – donate your challenge to help ours. Events like the marathons, abseils, extreme marathons, or an overseas trek or similar. If you are looking to push yourself to the very limits of your endurance then this might be the sort of challenge you are looking for.
There can be costs related to events like these to consider. If you need more advice or assistance drop us a line here and we will help.
• Consider making a one-off, regular or legacy donation. Every single penny really does make it difference and will help us help others. We are trying to do lots of things to make life easier for those facing up to throat cancer: patient events, peer support, funding research and much more.
No matter how large or small your contribution, please remember many trickles make a waterfall and every penny will make a difference – Thank you so much.
