Primary school pupil Alfie Shaw decided to wear his shorts for a year before he begins high school.  It was while doing this and encouraged by his family he chose to raise funds for the Throat Cancer Foundation to help raise awareness of throat cancers after his grandfather was diagnosed with the disease in 2017.
