Andi Woolass Raises Over £6,650 for Throat Cancer Support After Conquering “The Wall” Ultra 70-mile Challenge

Andi Woolass, The Wall

What a journey. What an experience. What an inspiration.

We are proud to celebrate the phenomenal achievement of Andi Woolass, who has raised over £6,650 (and counting) for the Throat Cancer Foundation after taking on one of the UK’s toughest endurance events – The Wall.

Hadrian’s wall

The Wall is no ordinary run. It’s a 70-mile ultra marathon stretching from Carlisle to Newcastle – and Andi didn’t just complete it, he tackled it head-on with determination, grit, and humour (even when the tracking system played its tricks).

Backed every step of the way by an incredible support team, including family and friends, Andi kept moving forward – through fatigue, through pain, and through the ups and downs that come with such a brutal distance. They were the communication lifeline, sponsorship motivators, and emotional anchors throughout the challenge.

Andi said:

“What a journey! What an experience! The people I met and the support I received have been unforgettable. To everyone who messaged me before, during, or after – you are too numerous and too fabulous. Reading your messages has been a real treat – thank you!”

We at the Throat Cancer Foundation want to thank Andi not just for the vital funds raised – which will directly support those affected by throat cancers – but for the visibility he has brought to a condition that is too often overlooked.

His dedication shows that one person’s commitment can ripple far and wide – but helping improve awareness, drive better outcomes, and bring real support to people at a time when they need it most.

And as Andi himself said – there’s still time to donate, as I have another couple of events coming up which will add to the amazing total. You can show your support via the link below.

From all of us at the Foundation: thank you, Andi. You’ve done something truly extraordinary.
