Fundraise for the Throat Cancer Foundation
Take on a challenge, organise an event, raise money at work, start a micro-fundraiser or support one of our campaigns. However you choose to help, your fundraising supports awareness, prevention, earlier diagnosis and people affected by throat cancers.
Why fundraise for TCF?
Fundraising helps the Throat Cancer Foundation reach more people with clear information, support and awareness. It helps us campaign for prevention, earlier diagnosis and better understanding of the cancers that can affect the throat.
You do not need to be an athlete or an experienced organiser to make a difference. Some people run marathons. Others organise pub nights, coffee mornings, workplace collections or small community fundraisers.
However you choose to help, your fundraising helps us speak louder.
Ways to fundraise
There are many ways to support the Throat Cancer Foundation. You can do something big, start small, fundraise alone or bring people together.
Take on a personal challenge
Organise a local fundraising event
Fundraise through your workplace
Start a small micro-fundraiser
Fundraise in memory of someone
Celebrate with donations instead of gifts
Get your school, club or community involved
Turn your hobby into fundraising
Consider leaving a donation in your will
Small fundraisers can make a big difference
Micro-fundraising is for people who want to help without organising a large event. A coffee morning, workplace collection, pub night, raffle, family gathering or local awareness table can all raise money and help more people learn about throat cancers.
Ideal for
Workplaces, pubs, clubs, schools, churches, community groups and families.
What we can provide
Awareness booklets, posters and fundraising materials where available.
Suggested target
A small fundraiser aiming for around £150 can still make a real difference.
Start your fundraiser
Setting up a fundraiser for the Throat Cancer Foundation does not need to be complicated. Choose an idea, set up your fundraising page, tell people why you are supporting TCF and share it with friends, family, colleagues or your community.
We can help with wording, awareness materials and social media support where appropriate.
1 – Choose your idea
Pick a challenge, event, collection, micro-fundraiser, personal tribute or idea of your own.
2 – Set up your page
Create a JustGiving fundraising page, choose the Throat Cancer Foundation as your charity, then add your target, story and a photograph.
3 – Tell people why
Explain why throat cancer awareness, prevention, earlier diagnosis or support matters to you.
4 – Share your fundraiser
Post your page on social media, WhatsApp, email or through your workplace or community.
5 – Keep people updated
Share progress, thank supporters and let TCF know so we can support you.
Fundraise for one of our campaigns
Some supporters choose to fundraise for a specific TCF campaign. You can donate directly to a campaign or create your own fundraiser in support of it.
