Jamie Rae’s Legacy Honoured in Times Obituary pages

Jamie Rae - CEO of Throat Cancer Foundation

We are deeply humbled to see The Times and The Sunday Times publish an obituary honouring our late CEO Jamie Rae.

It reflects the full arc of his extraordinary life—and his tireless work to protect future generations from HPV-related throat cancers. His courage, vision, and determination helped change UK government policy to ensure boys were included in the HPV vaccination programme. A lasting legacy for public health.

“Victory came in July 2018 when the UK government announce”d that boys would be included in the national HPV vaccination programme. It was a momentous win: experts estimate the policy shift will prevent more than 100,000 UK cancer cases by 2058”.
