Latest Updates From TCF

It has been a very busy time for the charity and we are moving forward at a very good pace. We could not have done this without the support of everyone so far and we are very grateful.

We are now working hard at raising money to start doing the vitally important work that is needed to ensure that head and neck cancer patients get the very best treatment which offers them the best outcomes; both for beating cancer but also for minimising the very debilitating side effects of treatment.

We are delighted to announce that we have our very first TCF fundraiser, Geoff.  Geoff is a throat cancer survivor who is going to trek through the Himalayas to rasie money and awareness for the Throat Cancer Foundation. We will be sharing a longer version of Geoff’s treatment journey but for now everyone should head over to his Just Giving page , and read his story and all about his fundraising efforts.  Even if you are not in a position to donate Geoff’s story is fascinating and well worth a read.

TCF have also been busy building our network of patients and carers who are keen to get involved and raise awareness for us. This has lead to us meeting some remarkable people who have faced the tough treatment for head and neck cancers and are now on the road to recovery. It has been a privilege to meet these remarkable people who have faced one of the biggest challenges of their lives with courage, dignity and humour.

Finally before I go we have begun planning the next stage for the charity: gathering feedback from all to ensure that we are moving in the right direction and ensuring we are providing the best resources to those people who are facing up to a cancer diagnosis.
