Week three and another milestone hit. On Sunday I managed to run for 5 miles, and dare I say it I actually felt okay afterwards. I don’t want to tempt fate, but I think I have finally had a breakthrough. I felt as though I was struggling to get closer to that hour mark, but it seems I have managed to get myself very close now.
Today is Tuesday, and this morning I managed to do another 5 miles before work – woo hoo! This weekend I will be running in my first ever competitive race. I have booked a place to run 5K at the Olympic Park. My aim for this run is to try and increase my speed and decrease my mile time a tad, but either way it’ll still be a small achievement for me. I never thought I would see the day that I would be running in an actual event.
