LARYNGECTOMEE DAY
This June see’s the National Association of Laryngectomee Clubs (NALC) host an event in Glasgow for laryngectomees and their friends and families. A laryngectomy is where some or all of the larynx or voice box is removed. This is a really life changing event and something which can affect people who have had cancer of the throat, particularly the larynx.
People who have to go through this surgery face big challenges but there are organisations which can support people and their families, the NALC are one of these organisations.
NALC are running an event in Glasgow, Grand Central Hotel on the 25th June which is a Tuesday. The event starts at 10am and will run till about 3pm. There will be a number of speakers throughout the day (including from TCF) and other events throughout the day.
There is no charge for laryngectomees and their guests and well worth attending if you live in Scotland. We will update this post with more details as we get them.
