Throat Cancer Foundation launches new communications team

The Throat Cancer Foundation has appointed former national newspaper journalist Lisa Boyle as head of the charity’s brand new PR & Communications team.

We are currently in the process of expanding our organisation and we will be looking to promote all of our latest fundraising campaigns, events and charity news through a mix of local, national and broadcast media outlets.

Lisa is a highly-experienced former national newspaper reporter and the founder of an online Scottish magazine.

She will be working closely with our charity founder Jamie Rae and development manager Gordon Dow to drive awareness for, and the adoption of, ground-breaking throat cancer treatment and fundraising.

Lisa says, “I am delighted to be part of the Throat Cancer Foundation’s brand new communications team and to hopefully ensure the charity gets the recognition it fully deserves.

“Sadly, the rate of throat cancers continues to increase dramatically year after year and this is something we hope people can become more aware of in terms of prevention.

“Having lost a family member to throat cancer myself, I understand fully how devastating the illness can impact not just sufferers, but also relatives.”
