Wing Walking for those with throat cancers

Are you a thrill seeker?  Would you love to experience a challenge that is very unique while raising funds and awareness for people with throat cancers?  Then this is the challenge for you!

See the world rush by from a very different angle.  Get strapped into a seat, atop a 1930’s Boeing Stearman Biplane.  Flying high in the sky, the wind whistling past you as at 120 miles per hour.

We are delighted to announce that in Partnership with the Wing Walking Company, the Throat Cancer Foundation is now offering 3 airfield sites for a Wing Walk experience.  Headcorn in Kent, (TN27 9HX), Wickenby, in Lincolnshire (LN3 5AX) and Henstridge in Somerset (BA8 0TN).

This is your opportunity to complete a very unique challenge while raising funds for those dealing with throat cancer.   Read on to find out how you can secure your place.

What to expect on the day

The team at the Wing Walk company will tell you everything you need to know and give you a 15 minute briefing to demonstrate how you get into position and what to expect from your wing walk as well as all the necessary Health and Safety procedures.  Please allow a minimum of 2 hours between getting the briefing and completing your actual Wing Walk

Then enjoy a 10 minute airborne flight, where you can choose either to make it very relaxed or have a more exhilarating experience if you want a thrilling time!

Encourage all your family and friends along to take photos and videos of your flight.

If you want to relive your experience, you can have a video made of your wing walk from two on-board HD cameras with Pilot commentary for £40!

After it all you will be presented with a certificate to confirm the completion of your Wing Walk Experience!

Costs and how it works

You are not expected to pay for your place.   It will be covered by the Throat Cancer Foundation.  We do however require a non refundable deposit of £100 to secure your place.

The full cost per person is £440, (covered by us, minus the security deposit) this pays for the Wing Walk, so we suggest a total fundraising target of £1,000, leaves a minimum donation of £560 to go the Throat Cancer Foundation from each participant.

If you think you could exceed this, that’d be amazing. We do ask that you aim to reach your fundraising target, 4 weeks ahead of the day when full payment is made by the Throat Cancer Foundation to the Wing Walk Company.

To secure your place email gordon@throatcancerfoundation.org.
