Zenna Gay Achieves Guinness World Record and Raises £1,452 for the Throat Cancer Foundation at London Marathon 2025

Zenna Gay has proudly completed the TCS London Marathon 2025, running an impressive 26.2 miles in just 5 hours and 10 minutes under challenging 22°C heat. Alongside 56,640 other finishers, Zenna became part of a Guinness World Record for the largest number of runners ever to complete a marathon.

What makes Zenna’s achievement even more remarkable is the deeply personal reason behind her run. She has dedicated her marathon efforts to the Throat Cancer Foundation, a cause close to her heart after losing several family members to the disease — her uncle, who passed away on 9th March 2025 at the age of 62, as well as her grandmother and great-grandfather, both of whom were lost to throat cancer.

Through determination, training, and the overwhelming support of donors and well-wishers, Zenna has raised an outstanding £1,452 for the Throat Cancer Foundation. These funds will directly support the charity’s mission to improve early diagnosis, fund vital research, and offer much-needed support to patients and families affected by throat cancer.

Reflecting on her journey, Zenna shared her gratitude for the incredible crowds, the unmatched atmosphere, and the generosity of those who donated and offered kind words. She highlights how, just a year ago, she had never run more than 10k — making this marathon finish a true personal triumph.

The Throat Cancer Foundation celebrates Zenna’s achievement and thanks her for her commitment to raising awareness and supporting the fight against throat cancer. Her story serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of community, resilience, and the impact one individual can make.

Supporters can still contribute to Zenna’s efforts through her JustGiving page, ensuring every penny helps in the ongoing battle to save lives and improve outcomes for those facing throat cancer.
