Remembering Joseph Drew: A Life of Kindness, Strength, and Passion

Joseph Drew was a man whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and an enduring love for the simple joys of life. Diagnosed with tonsil, throat, tongue, and neck cancer in October 2018, Joseph faced his illness with remarkable courage and dignity. Despite the immense pain he endured, he never once complained. His quiet strength was a testament to the man he was.

Joseph began his treatment in December 2018, but sadly passed away just six months later, in June 2019, at the age of 64.

A devoted husband to Jenny, Joseph cherished their time together, especially on long walks and walking holidays, often accompanied by their beloved dog, Eddie. He had a deep passion for golf and found peace and happiness in the outdoors, whether on the course or exploring new places on foot.

Those who knew Joseph remember him as a warm-hearted soul, always generous with his time and care for others. Even during the most challenging moments of his illness, his focus remained on the wellbeing of those around him.

His life, though cut short, leaves behind lasting memories of love, resilience, and selflessness.

Joseph’s story is a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of throat cancer, and the strength it takes to face such a battle. He is deeply missed, but forever remembered.
