It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jamie Rae, Chief Executive Officer of the Throat Cancer Foundation. Jamie passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, on Monday the 5th of May.
Jamie was not only the driving force behind the Throat Cancer Foundation but also a tireless advocate, passionate leader, and courageous voice for those affected by throat cancer. His vision, dedication, and compassion transformed the organisation into a leading charity focused on raising awareness, funding research, and supporting patients and families through some of life’s most challenging moments.
Jamie’s own personal journey with throat cancer shaped his unwavering commitment to ensuring no one faced this disease alone. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, the breakthroughs he championed, and the hope he inspired within the throat cancer community and beyond.
Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to Jamie’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
The Throat Cancer Foundation remains committed to honouring Jamie’s extraordinary legacy and continuing the vital work he so passionately led.
Further details regarding memorial arrangements will be shared in due course.
We thank everyone for their kindness, support, and respect for the family’s privacy during this difficult time.
