Megan’s Final Few Weeks

4 weeks go to! Just four weeks, I can’t believe how quickly the big day has come around. I’m not sure I entirely feel ready yet, but I suppose I have a couple more practice runs left in me.

The runs are getting tougher and tougher, and committing to a 15 mile run on a Saturday is hard work. However, its all worth it when I remember who I’m running for. When the pain sets into my knees and ankles at around 10 miles in, I really do have to keep the Throat Cancer Foundation at the forefront of my mind. Because let’s be honest, no amount of discomfort I am enduring comes close to the suffering some struck with this illness have to deal with.

Despite dreading the running aspect of the day, I cannot wait to be wearing a jersey for a charity that is in need of so much help. Not only will it be an honour, but it will be unforgettable.

Wish me luck for the week ahead, and I’ll check back soon!
