Remembering Alan Shepherd

The family of Alan Shepherd have kindly donated £344.20 from them and friends who attended his funeral, after he passed away on the 24th of August.   He was a well loved and appreciated man.

Alan was diagnosed with a throat cancer at 59, but because of the treatment and care he received he lived for another 30 years, before passing away peacefully with pneumonia.

Having throat cancer did not stop Alan from enjoying his life to the full. He kept very active, with him and his beloved wife Margaret enjoying holidaying all over Scotland in their campervan. When not travelling, Alan could be found tending to one of his other passions, his garden.

He is survived by his children, Steven, Caroline, David, Derek, Elaine and Tommy and his 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild who all miss him very much, they have such happy memories of him as he was always joking around and playing pranks on them all.

Thank you, Alan for a wonderful life lived.
